Consoles and Operator Tools
The hypervisor console controls the Management host. Management’s browser tools operate on Management or the connected appliance. Choose the interface for the affected component.
Management Host Console
| Action | Use |
|---|---|
Show System Information |
Inspect host network identity, addresses, routes, DNS, configured time source, and synchronization. |
Refresh Status |
Read the current Management service state. |
Show Startup Progress |
Follow startup while Management is starting. |
Logs |
Inspect recent MTG host logs, follow service logs, inspect warnings, or save a limited log export from the current boot to persistent storage. |
Start Management Application / Stop Management Application |
Explicitly start or stop Management. Starting requires the configured network to be active and time synchronized. |
Configure Network |
Edit the supported host network and time settings while Management is stopped. |
Manage Certificates |
Change Management TLS settings. Follow the certificate workflow and verify the browser certificate afterward. |
Show Recovery Status / Retry State Discovery |
Inspect and retry state discovery when the host enters recovery mode. These actions do not restore appliance data. |
Reboot / Shutdown |
Restart or power off the Management host after its confirmation prompt. |
Available actions depend on the host and service state. Public Management hostname, HTTPS port, and private Management cluster address are fixed for initialized Management state. They are distinct from the editable host network settings.
The console does not reset Management administrator passwords or interpret appliance artifact bundles. See Management reconstruction if browser administrator access was lost.
Operations Terminal
Support > Terminal opens a shell with the cluster credentials from the retained artifact bundle. It requires an installed, connected appliance. If it is unavailable, reconnect first.
-
Open Support > Terminal and select Open terminal.
-
Allow pop-ups for Management if the browser blocks the new tab.
-
Use the shell for a specific operator or support procedure. Commands can change the appliance; internal Operations scripts are not a general-purpose customer CLI.
-
Return to the Terminal page and select Close terminal when finished. Resume terminal reopens an existing running terminal.
Use Support > Diagnostics for an archive download. See collect diagnostics.
Other Browser Tools
Open Gitea for advanced configuration and history, Headlamp for cluster inspection, and Grafana for monitoring. Access depends on Management permissions and, for cluster tools, the active connection. A browser login session and a cluster access lease are separate.
