Global Contacts

Global contacts enable external notification recipients to receive system notifications from MTG CLM. Make sure you use contacts exclusively for recipients outside your organization; avoid creating contacts for existing system users.

Overview

Global contacts can be subscribed to any entity within the system, providing flexible notification management for external stakeholders such as vendors, partners, or third-party administrators who need visibility into certificate operations.

Required Fields

Name: Full name of the external recipient

Preferred Language: Determines the language for all notifications sent to this contact. Select from available system languages.

Notification Methods

Global contacts support two notification delivery methods:

Email Notifications

Standard email delivery for certificate alerts, renewals and system notifications.

Microsoft Teams Channel

Direct integration with MS Teams channels for real-time notifications within team workspaces.

Usage Guidelines

  • Create contacts only for external recipients who are not system users.

  • Assign appropriate preferred language based on recipient’s location and requirements.

  • Configure notification subscriptions based on the contact’s role and information needs.
