ERS CLI Installation

Introduction

MTG Certificate Lifecycle Manager Server is an implementation of a CLI client that integrates with MTG-CLM. This document describes the installation procedure for this product.

Installation

For the installation of the MTG Certificate Lifecycle Manager Server an Operating-System specific executable is required.

Windows

For Windows the executable file is of type exe and in order to install it either run the provided executable or use a command through the command line to run it with start filename.exe. The Operating System Environment Variable Path for the installed program will automatically be set, making it globally accessible in the command line.

Debian Linux

For Debian the executable file is of type deb and in order to install it run dpkg -i filename.deb. The Operating System Environment Variable Path for the installed program will automatically be set, making it globally accessible in the command line.

Red Hat Linux

For Red Hat Linux Operating Systems (Centos), the executable file is of type rpm and in order to install it run dnf install filename.rpm. The Operating System Environment Variable Path for the installed program will automatically be set, making it globally accessible in the command line.

Uninstallation

Windows

In order to uninstall the program open the Apps & Features menu in the settings, select the application and uninstall it.

Debian Linux

In order to uninstall the program we can open the Debian Software Center menu, select the application and uninstall it. To achieve it through the command line run apt-get remove package-name.

Red Hat Linux

In order to uninstall the program through the command line run yum remove package-name.

UDP Ports

In order to support DNS name resolution the application may open ephemeral UDP ports.
