Connected and Air-gapped Use
For a connected installation, download the selected artifact and checksum when Management reaches Download and boot the Talos artifact.
For an air-gapped installation, obtain the matching artifact and checksum on a connected workstation and transfer both to storage available to the hypervisor. Check the version, platform and guest-agent choice against the installation plan before booting the targets.
Verify the artifact’s SHA-256 digest against its checksum, then follow Prepare Proxmox nodes or Prepare VMware nodes. Continue with Target Discovery and Disk Confirmation in Management.
